John Potts was my program director at WCAW and WVAF in Charleston, WPAR and WKYG in Parkersburg and he scored ratings successes that have never been equaled. He is recognized as one of the best radio personalities of the era and he is blessed with an incredible voice. John is one of the world's great voice actors.
Some "Hip" Cats
Dan Millen worked in New York and San Diego in radio and ABC Radio Networks. He holds a Screen Actor's Guild Card and was on Days of Our Lives! Dan played a villan on that soap...he also plays Paul the Apostle in churches all over the country. A gifted man with an incredible voice. Dan is a Seventh Day Adventist Minister and his talent is awesome.
Ralph Allen Media was formed in 1981 to offer full service advertising agency and creative services to clients marketing primarily high ticket consumer goods and services such as automotive dealership groups and financial institutions needing branding, public relations, corporate communications, and of course production services in radio and television.

Ralph's academic background includes The University of Charleston, Marshall University Graduate College, and The University of Dayton Graduate School. While at Marshall, he was editor of the Psychology Newsletter, a student-published newsletter with articles of interest to graduate students in psychology. The University of Charleston offers a school of pharmacy, a school of architecture and design, various master's degrees in business and is a well respected private university in Charleston, WV.

Ralph taught broadcasting and journalism classes at Salem International University (another well respected private university) and most recently practiced clinical and school psychology.

Ralph has held every trusted management and operations position in broadcast companies and has a background in account development and programming radio stations. He has been an on air talent, operations manager, program director, and general manager as well as major market account executive. He was a morning personality, program director, operations manager and later account executive and General manager with the Dailey Corporation, a broadcast group in West Virginia, Ohio, and South Carolina.

Ralph was operations manager at Charleston's WCHS and was a GM/OM with Tschudy Communications. He was a jock at Charleston's WCAW and WVAF-FM, Charleston's X-15 WXIT, Parkersburg's WPAR, WKYG, Z-106 WRZZ-FM...and was OM/PD of WADC and WIBZ-FM 99Z. His ratings successes are well documented with routine shares in the 50% range...ok...52% share at WKYG as a jock. That ain't bad, folks! That ain't bad. As a PD orchestrated WADC's dominance of the market and AOR formated WIBZ 99Z was a legend...helped create a billing monster against Dave Strock's famous WXIL...incredible power on the street...sales power!

While a college student at UC worked at Capitol's twin 50,000 watt giants and was mentored by legendary programmers like Buddy Blake, Jack Gardner, Chuck McDowell, Jim Stanley, Randy Scott and Mike Hammer...Jack programmed Group One...Chuck worked at KLIF and KILT in Dallas...Buddy programmed WLAC in Nashville...It's not rocket science after you've been mentored by the best in the world!

Ralph later worked as an account executive with North American Broadcasting in Columbus, Ohio. They own and operate WMNI, The Blitz-FM and another FM in the market. So that is a broad background in Programming, Sales and Promotion, and the University Environment in Psychology, Management, and Mass Communications.
