What a blast! What a zoo. Bill Fox, mornings, Laura Kennedy, afternoons. She is married to that handsome and talented fellow next to her, Ken Ward, Program Director and Midday talent. That is sales manager Ike, Mike McVay's nephew, yes THAT Mike McVay. That is me on the extreme right. At the time I was running my ad agency in the day and doing nights on air at WMGP. We had a lot of fun and these people are dear to my heart.
That station is now FROGGY 99 and an upgrade from 3,000 watts to 20,000 watts. The station got sold back to Randy Jay Dailey then sold again. How many times did he own those stations? How many times was I Programmer there? I forget...nine times I think...longtime...LOL Randy's deals made me dizzy at times, who owns what and who's on first and do I have a job with the new company...what a swinging door these stations were, WADC was the AM...and then WIBZ, (my baby) and then WMGP, now Froggy 99.
McVay consulted us, great talent, a pig pen for studios...absolute junk...but...great time had by all. Rock on old friends!
